Monkey Barrz is a hot-melt adhesive designed specifically for the purpose of attaching hair extensions. Monkey Barrz is not a silicone or wax (and exactly where do they get that protein?). Monkey Barrz is a polyamide (nylon) based adhesive requiring it's own special product and technique for removal. It is a professional product, sold only to and for use by licensed cosmetologists. It's formulated to meet certain unique specs necessary for use on hair.
High enough melting temperature that allows the adhesive to:
1) Thoroughly bond the extension hair to the client's hair.
2) Stays soft long enough to form a proper bond seal.
3) Holds up to the heat of warm/hot weather and normal blowdry styling.
Has the strength and ability to:
1) Last from touch up to touch up.
2) Maintain it's original color.
3) Maintain it's flexibility for damage free wear.
4) Remove safely from the client's natural hair.
5) Allow reuse of the extension hair (if applicable).
